CAREC National Focal Points (NFPs) Strategic Planning Meeting 2025 - Green and Digital CAREC
The Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) program countries’ National Focal Points gathered in Manila from 5 to 7 March to operationalize the CAREC 2030 Strategy Midterm Review recommendations and discuss strengthening the program’s initiatives through strategic planning and prioritization. Vice-President for South, Central and West Asia Yingming Yang delivered opening remarks and Central Asia Regional Department (CWRD) Director General Yevgeniy Zhukov provided the overview. The Vice-President also shared his perspectives in a fireside chat. East Asia Regional Department (EARD) Director General Ehsan, Regional Cooperation and Integration, CWRD (CWRC) Regional Head Lyaziza Sabyrova, and management of ADB’s Sectors Department (SD), Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department (CCSD), Strategy and Policy Department (SPD), Private Sector Operations Department (PSOD) and Information Technology Department (ITD) moderated sessions which covered regional public goods, transport and economic corridors, trade, energy, digital transformation, and human development.
